Timing Belts (Cambelts) – Cardiff

If you drive a vehicle with an internal combustion engine, its cambelt (also called a timing belt) is an incredibly vital component, and it is essential you follow the manufacturer’s guidelines relating to its routine maintenance.

Failure to do so may result in the cambelt snapping and causing significant engine damage, which will render your vehicle unusable. It is likely that expensive repair or replacement work will then be necessary, just to get you back on the road.

At Rumney Test & Service Centre in Cardiff, we have a workshop fully fitted with advanced technology, along with highly qualified, experienced technicians. We can inspect and, if necessary, replace cambelts/timing belts before they wear out, so you can resume driving with confidence. We also work on wet belts, showing that we are the answer to all your engine problems.

Among the most common warning signs of a cambelt at risk of failing are the following:

• The engine makes a ticking noise
• The vehicle vibrates more than usual
• Less power from the engine
• Problems when starting the engine

If you are unsure whether one of the above or any other symptoms may be indicating you have a cambelt or other serious engine fault, please do not delay getting in touch with Rumney Test & Service Centre.
